Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Last updated June 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of SteelSuit (“SteelSuit”, “we”, “us”), an external web-application security scanner available at steelsuit.com and api.steelsuit.com. By creating an account or running a scan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

SteelSuit runs automated, non-destructive security checks against a web domain you supply and returns aggregated findings, reports, and remediation guidance. Findings are informational. SteelSuit does not guarantee that it detects every vulnerability, nor that a clean result means a site is secure. You remain responsible for the security of your own systems.

2. Authorization to scan — you must own or have permission

You may only scan a domain that you own or for which you have explicit permission from the owner to perform security testing. By submitting a target you represent and warrant that you have that authorization. Scanning systems you are not authorized to test may be illegal in your jurisdiction and is a breach of these Terms. You are solely responsible for the targets you submit and for any consequences of an unauthorized scan. We may require proof of domain ownership before enabling deeper or more aggressive scan types.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scan domains you do not own or are not authorized to test;
  • use the service to attack, overload, or disrupt any system;
  • circumvent quotas, rate limits, anonymous-scan caps, or access controls;
  • resell, sublicense, or expose the service to third parties except through features we provide for that purpose;
  • use the service to violate any applicable law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate accounts, throttle, or block targets and source addresses that we reasonably believe are engaged in abuse.

4. Accounts, plans, and quotas

Some features require an account. Free and paid plans carry usage quotas (scans, domains, deep scans, API calls) described on our pricing page; quotas and plan contents may change. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email and credentials secure.

5. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that findings are complete or accurate.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteelSuit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.

7. Changes and termination

We may modify the service or these Terms at any time; material changes take effect when posted here. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service and its users.
